直播預報：8/14~17 vs NYY

雖然下半季剛開始成績大起大落，七月底正面對決遊騎兵也只拿下1勝3敗，加上天使開外掛，現在已經是全聯盟戰績第二，讓水手直接和西區冠軍說再見（勝差9場）。

但是接下來三個系列（皇家、光芒、白襪），水手都很爭氣的各以2勝1敗拿下系列，目前落後外卡龍頭紅襪也只有5.5場，還算是合理的追趕範圍。因此接下來每個系列都相當重要。

話說水手現在戰績是60-54，外卡第四，但是得失分差卻是-42，對照組是外卡第七的藍鳥，戰績54-59，但得失分差是+40。甚至連第八和第九的運動家和印地安人分別是-28和-20，都比水手來得好。（看ESPN的外卡排名會更一目瞭然。）

這當然得歸功於全聯盟最會打一分差的本事--28勝14敗！不論場次、勝場、勝負差，都是全聯盟第一。水手今年和「鄞逸芬」的感情非常好。
