| 30 | -- | Junior will soon see just how much things have changed in Seattle. |
| 5 | ▲25 | Erik Bedard is sporting a 15/1 K/BB ratio in his two starts. |
| 6 | ▼1 | Team batting average is where you'd expect -- bottom third of the league. But the team ERA is among the league's best. |
| 5 | ▲1 | Has that much changed? The M's are still in the league's bottom five in HRs. An ominous sign. |
| 5 | ─ | Still no HRs for Adrian Beltre ... but Russell Branyan has six and is hitting well over .300. |
| 19 | ▼14 | May hasn't been as kind as April was. But then you probably saw that coming. |
| 22 | ▼3 | Brandon Morrow came off DL to lose two games. |
| 20 | ▲2 | Where else could Junior go that fans would still love him despite his sub-.240 average? |
| 20 | ─ | Creeping back up in West. Six games back in June isn't bad compared to last year. |
| 18 | ▲2 | Could go back over .500 with road dates at O's and Rockies. |
| 20 | ▼2 | Forget about anybody else, Russell Branyan hitting .320 has to the be shocker of the season. |
| 15 | ▲5 |
It'll never happen, but Don Wakamatsu gets our vote for Manager of the Year thus far. |
| 11 | ▲4 | Junior's power stroke resurfaced big time last week and helped lead the M's to a series win over the Dodgers. |
| 13 | ▼2 | Ichiro assumes usual starting role, but good to see King Felix make his first appearance. |
| 14 | ▼1 | First half was nothing like last year's disaster. And now there's grumbling about the M's being buyers. Even Freddy Sanchez will do. |
| 9 | ▲5 | Freddy Sanchez rebuffed the Pirates' contract offer ... hint, hint Seattle. |
| 14 | ▼5 | Now that Erik Bedard's on the DL, it appears Jarrod Washburn is the retreating M's best bargaining chip. |
| 15 | ▼1 | Did the right thing and dealt Jarrod Washburn in his career year. And giving Ian Snell a fresh start could pay off. |
| 15 | ─ | Still one winning streak away from getting excited about a wild-card run. |
| 15 | ─ | Never seen anything like the Erik Bedard saga. How long does it take to call off a season? |
| 15 | ─ | In the AL Central, the M's would be talking playoff push. |
| 14 | ▲1 | No matter what happens in September, the season has been a rousing success. |

The Insider: MLB Power Rankings
24. Seattle Mariners -The Marines flopped amidst lofty expectations last year, and did little to help the club this off-season, aside from bringing back Ken Griffey Jr., which was mainly for PR purposes anyway. The Marines still could be exciting with Felix Hernandez leading a potentially strong rotation, but don’t expect much from this years’ M’s. MLB Power Rankings: Spring Training Edition There is plenty of room for improvement in Seattle this year, with an intriguing 1-2-3 rotation punch led by Felix Hernandez, Erik Bedard, and Brandon Morrow, as well as the addition of Franklin Gutierrez and the maturation of Jeff Clement. However, Bedard's ability to stay healthy and focused, Morrow's ability to dominate with something other than his fastball, and Clement's development as a catcher are far from sure things. The upcoming season is likely to bring another last-place finish to the Emerald City, but new GM Jack Zduriencik does seem to have things moving back in the right direction.
