　A hold is given to a relief pitcher if he enters a game in a save situation, records at least one out and leaves the game without having relinquished that lead. For a pitcher to receive a hold, he must not finish the game or be the winning pitcher. Therefore, the same pitcher can't get a save and a hold in the same game. -- from Mariners Mailbag
　得到中繼點必須滿足以下條件：

　1. 在有救援機會時上場
　2. 至少解決一名打者
　3. 下場時球隊領先
　4. 沒有拿下救援成功或勝投

　只要滿足以上四點，就可以拿到一次 Hold，即使最後球隊落敗！

　像是這場比賽雖然水手輸球，但 Mark Lowe 還是可以拿下中繼點。

　這個數據算是給終結者之外的救援投手一點肯定，不過要評斷一個救援投手，還是需要從各個角度去觀察比較適當。
